not sure.

do a search on this site as this subject was covered a couple months back on how to do it. if i remember corerectly, certain years of trucks sold in California had the maf system from the factory.

do a search on this site and sould get lots of info.

Ok i looked an people said that i need to replace the ecm that is were i got to the point an stopped reading i my book it is not worth doing a maf conversion.

Do you really understand just what you are about to undertake? Unless you have lots and lots of time and a lot of wiring and engine experience, you are going to go through a nightmare! I did a tbi 302 bird to a carb and untimately to a projection, but the tranny was not electronic (AOD). The TBI birds had no potential as oem.

As long as you understand what you are getting into, go for it, but my .02 is you will be @#$%$*! for a long time wondering why you did it. Also, (.02) you will not pick up any MPG and will certainly lose driveability. Not to argue with anyone, but the E4OD is not controlled by the TPS only. The torque converter lock-up strategy is controlled by something else, dosnt matter where your foot is.

Several people make stand alone controllers, but for the money you are fixing to spend, you sure could fix up your ride a lot. Go for it if you want, but you have been warned!!

I am able to do it but i thought the same way you did it is not worth my time an the efi is great but hard to get some good power out of it cuz of the computer an the speed density system if i am going to get power i have to do my maf conversion i found a f-150 i can use to get the parts off of. It has computer an maf sensor an wiring any thing els i need?
