i was getting gas a few minutes ago and this guy pulled up in a beautiful EX. 03 V10 4.30ls just over 43k.. anyway the whole front clip is destroyed. so being the ford guy i had to ask why, his response. " i bought it to pull a 5x10 trailer so me and my son could go ride atv's, he fell on this jump and fractured his wrist so the wife made me sell the atvs. so she took is as a daily driver soccer mom stuff, so she was talking on the cell phone and a tractor trailer stopped at a red light she wasnt paying attention slammed on the brakes and re endd it." now im laughing to myself because this is the reason ford stopped making this truck because certain people have no business owning one. so he said now she wont drive it because of some internet **** about how ex are bad at stopping and whatever she loked up and she says i have to sell it or else. so i asked what she wants, a f.cking chevy sub!!! what the f is with this lady. so he said it needs a hood, new front fenders, bumper grill headlights turnsignals. all in all i had to vent to someone who knows where im coming from about this kind of crap.

My wife wanted an EX so we bought her one in 2003. I thought she would hate it since she really didn't like driving my F250 CC. She absolutely loves this rig! She calls it her "car" and i have had opportunities to get a smaller vehicle for her but she says she will not own anything else. It is still in excellent shape and she would kill anyone who put a scratch on it! I love my wife! Funny though, she still doesnot like driving my truck, go figure.

That is the most absurd reason to have to get rid of the ex!!!!!! I love driving my big truck. DUH it takes a lot to stop a big vehicle....what an idiot! maybe he outta buy her a sonata or some little suburbian housewife crossover cuz she won't be able to handle the POS burban that she'll get either........but it'll prolly break before she has a chance to wreck it!
I HATE these soccer moms that think they are the cool in their big suv. then one of them makes the rest of us look bad because she can't drive & chew bubblegum at the same time!!!!

how do people not realize the bigger the vehicle the longer it takes to stop. its so simple. i love the excursion drove 1 for a year mom has 1 now. both 7.3 powerstroke towed amazing and carried ton of people and stuff comfortably. But little nicer brakes could have been nice still stopped a 10k lb trailer no problem just had to give it the space it needed
