OK here i go lol i am going to order my spring Monday and got some questions on my V B springs cause we just bought a 31' travel trailer so its time lol.
1. do i need shocks for a F-250.
2. do i need the 3 1/2" wedge block for the rear.
3. do i get new u-bolts for the Excursion or the F-250.
4. should i do the mod. on the spring i see some of you guys talking about if so can some one post what i need to do this mod.
Why do you want X's in the front? Is it a PSD?
go to a heavy truck spring shop and get prices.
I put Triangle brand springs on the front of my 2000 X from a heavy truck spring shop for about $380.00 for front springs and new U bolts and all hardware.
You might want to get your springs from a junkyard. I found some local for $75 each(but already had some). Do a lookup at the copart website. Its worth a look and a couple calls, trust me! You will need some shocks too! Try Cary Towery he's brilliant on our trucks and he knows how to do this setup for the best and lowest prices.
Ok i just got my V code springs today dealer said by thur. i should have my B's and all the hardware i will let you guys know how it goes lol so excited

I called the local spring shop place I could find by me and they had no idea what an X or V code etc... springs were and seemed to be oblivious... The only thing they said was they go by max pounds and they biggest ones they had went up to 2650 lbs each .
Another shop really only 'recommended' a shackle hangar mod up front with new shocks for roughly 1,200 to improve the hadling, drive and acheive a 3" lift...
2650 lbs per spring would be the same as a "V" code, 3000 lbs per spring would be the same as an "X" code. Sorry I can't help you find a spring shop in your area. If that's all that the spring shop can find it must not be much of a spring shop. All the codes that everyone is using on here are only Fords codes.
