I have a mystery plug behind the dash, it is actually plugged into an area of the dash to immobilize it. It is directly behind the square above the cubbyhole, I think where the esof switch would be. Is that what these wires were for, if my truck had esof?
it is a flat connector, 4 wires. I did find that one of the wires is panel light voltage (varies with dimmer), so regardless of what it is, it will be powering the lights on my new gauges. Now I just need a hot wire for the pyro feed voltage. I think I remember where I tapped in my CB, so off to the next project.
I have done the new turbo wheel, new up-pipes, pyro, boost, 4 inch exhaust turbo back. Actually, that is where I am now. The down pipe does not fit quite properly onto the turbo, so I am trying to figure out a way to force it on. The V-clamp will just engage both sides, but not pull it on. I coated both mating surfaces with neversieze, and will give it a crank or two every time I warm it up for a while. Hope that works.
Take a look at post # 19 of the following thread... there is a pic of the wiring and plugs.. Is it the plug on the far right ? If so, this is for your trailer brake controller.. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/9...-wiring-2.html
