security toolbox vs topper

Howdy guys,

There's times in my travels I could really use a topper, but really dont trust the vunerability of someone really being able to see things inside, whether it be tinted or not. I love the tool box because they seem a little more secure, I do know however as my Dad had some get in his van and even bent open the lid on a Knackbox, so is was it is.

Does anybody here w/ toppers have a better security solution.

I like the fibergalss flat cover, but really wouldnt give me the room needed.

Anyone ever try a tool box topper combo? not sure at all how that would fly! Ha! Thanks.

I have a Leer Canopy, However There is Very little security if someone wanted something in there they would just have to smash the glass.

I have an extang tri fold, the front clamps on and unfold three times. the last part has quick release clamps, unfold and clamped down I lock the tailgate and I have a massive trunk. Undo the quick releases and fold it forward, it clips in and you have 2/3 of your box open. This will allow access to a front storage box. Undo the front clamps and I can take it off for move a full box load.

It is very strong you can get up and walk on it, or set up some lawn chairs.................Back the truck into the lake and do a little casting...........

i have a Job Box in mine...those Masterlocks on it say ain't nobody prying it open...but i have seen the solid sided fiberglass toppers with doors on the back, they look pretty secure...mount a alarm siren right beside the doors just in case somebody does get in...you'll know who the culprit was after they have to go to the hearing doc...lol
