Clutch hissing

When my clutch pedal is to the floor there is no noise. When I engage the clutch either in gear or neutral, It makes a hissing sound coming from the housing area.
I got a 2001 with 150,000. Clutch otherwise works great. Ideas?

Sounds like the release bearing could be going bad.

Two questions:
Is the inspection plate installed?
Does the noise go away when your foot is off the pedal?

I think the inspection plate is installed. The noise does not go away when your foot is off the pedal, you can hear it till the engine gets too loud to hear.

Yes I checked for the inspection plate it's there for sure. I bought the truck new and clutch is all stock.
