For fellow FTEs where it gets COLD. Ive been working up in wyoming for a month or so. Im on break for a week and im going to bring my truck back with me this trip. About 2300 mile shot.
Any tips or things to change once i get in a real cold climate. My truck is warm blooded living all its life in Florida.lol
Think im good to get there got a spare CPS and recent oil change, any other must haves for a long road trip???
Spring is kinda setting in...I was in WY two weeks or so ago and it gets down into the 20's at nite nuthin like it would in the real winter time...I would just do a nice once over of the truck like...check the belt, hoses, tires, coolant...the same stuff you should do before you head out into the wild blue yonder...have a good trip!!!
Thanks for the input, ya i left saturday on a plane, snowed 6in monday damn near shut down the town.lol Working on a new plant outside Gillette.
Are you talking about the energy plants there building up there on I-90 east of Gillette? I delevered a big steel base out there in January '09. I picked it up in Kansas and those guys even took it off on a Saturday, good union crew out there!!!
Good batteries and glow plugs are key. But u should be good from the cold weather now. Shouldnt have any issues. now if u stay thru the winter with it. Good Batteries oike i said, glow plugs, gpr, coolant, good synthetic oil, and u will be good to go
