TPMS

Can not remove or turn of tpms light. if using after marker rims and tires, you can get new sensors and have them programmed to the truck and leave the oe sensors in the oe rims. Or some sensors can be removed and transfered. No shop will remove the light bulb or dissable the system, againts the law, big fines if caught.

Yeah, you should not have the light on unless you have low air pressure. Not too complicated. That or if you put different rims on. Just transfer the sensors. I personally like knowing that I have a low tire.
On the flip side we had a person who drove a trailblazer with onstar, and they recieved onstar reports each month. If the report indicated a PSI variation from tire to tire by more than 2 PSI the person would be in having us check tire pressure. Kind of a pain, especially since in MN air pressure changes so much with weather/tire temp, etc.

I want new rims for my Mustang. $600 shipped. Add another $200 for cheap knock-off sensors

All this BIG BROTHER is a deal breaker for me. I agree with Tylus, I survived for years without all that junk and I'm not so lazy as to not look at my tires each time I get into my vehicle. I am **** about doing a visual inspection each and every time I get into the truck just to make sure that there won't be a problem or that someone hasn't hit it while parked.

Think of it this way...the moron driving down the highway that didn't check his tires has a tire blow out cause it was flat....he rolls his truck (and we'll say he's pulling a trailer without the proper weight distibuting hitch)....taking out your wife or kids......now aren't you wishing he had a light that said..."hey moron....your tires flat"

It shouldnt matter for you then if you check the air pressure in your tires and always keep them inflated. The light will never bother you.
Bottom line is many people dont care about their cars, and would drive their tires until they come off of the rim if it didn't make the car pull to one side with a flat. I remember working at a gas station and having to show numerous people how to put air in their tires. Sure it sucks having to buy sensors, however it is nice on alot of cars with the digital readouts you can directly monitor your tire pressure in real time. It is a feature that I would pay to have on my truck.
