'94 f150 4x2

Sort of like it wants to move before i take my foot of the brake,it doesn't do it everytime i put it in gear, what should i check?

Like if i start the truck then throw it in drive it will sort of 'jerk' or 'jump' does it in reverse as well.

 

High idle? Delay in the valve body possibly. When's the last time you did a filter/fluid service? Look at the Red Lube Guard for trans additive. Worked WONDERS on mine. Feels brand new.

 

Add excessive backlash in the pinion/ring gear to the mix too. I would start with the transmission fluid/filter first.

 

Im having this same problem. 96 f150 4x4. Did you solve it??

 

I have a Ranger with an auto trans that does that. The solution was to wait 5 seconds for the idle to come down after starting the engine before throwing it in gear.
