has anyone had a problem with random missfires? I have new plugs, coils, boots, injectors. still have missfires and never the same cyls. anyone had this problem or possible clues on what could be wrong. This is a 2000 ex v10 with 160500 on the clock.
Are you getting a generic P0300 code or are you getting specific cylinders? Did you have the problems prior to replacing the parts you mentioned? Were all of the parts replaced at the same time? What kind of parts did you use? Does it idle rough or what are your symptoms besides the codes?
Beyond that - you can see random issues showing up with a dirty MAF, intake or EGR valve. When you clean the EGR - I'd soak the EGR tube and lightly hit with compressed air if you can. I'd also clean the IAC and ensure you have no vacuum leaks anywhere. An easy vacuum leak test is to get a can of intake or carb cleaner and lightly spray all hoses and connections and see if the RPMs change at all.
Not being funny, but do you have a mouse problem. The little buggers love to chew at wires and vacuum lines. I don't know how many times I have had similar problems with the fleet vehicles i used to work on due to mice. Worth a check.
Forgot to tell you ,but if the wires near the injector connection are chewed through Ford makes a pigtail splice complete with new connector. It's better than trying to cut and repair those small wires.
