98 4.6 missfires
Have a 1998 f-150 4.6 with a 130,000 miles. Two weeks after tune up it devloped a missfire. Scaned for codes with SnapOn scanner. It told me number two cyl missfiring. Checked all plug wires with timing gun each wire was getting power. Tryed new spark plug in number two cyl and also new set of plug wires. Engine stills missfires but is not throwing any codes. Checked coil pack on each side for water or drit but was clean. Help any ideas for problem.

Check engine compression, don't be suprised if you see low compression in some cylinders, I have been posting about stretched valves, both intake and exhaust, more stretched in the center of the head than at the ends. Don't know why though. I hope you don't find this to be your case.
