My 4.0L -91 2WD has a tendancy to missfire when I put the throttle to about 2/3 up to full load, if I increase more gentley there is no problem at all.
I changed the sparkpluggs some 600 miles ago.
Could it be the wires or is it a fuel problem?
My fuel average is about 22-24 m/g.
Has anyone had this problem?

The first thing I would suspect is the plug wires. Well, let me back track. You say you changed the plugs 600 miles ago. You didn't put something like Bosch double plats in it did you?
I have had the same symptoms twice.
The 1st time it was the plug wires and while I was at it I put new Bosch double plats in at the same time.
The second time was less than two weeks after the first time. The plugs were burning off the ground electrode. I went to ford and got the real deal and the van has preformed perfectly ever since/ (2 years)
