Did this troubleshooting: replacing the CPS; there is no water in fuel; HPOP has good level; Batteries are good, Glow plugs good; no smoke when cranking; ether test gave no smoke but closer start up; fuses and relays good; the fuel has good pressure to injector pump but not to injectors.. any ideas??
Such as .. I was driving down the road and just stopped or I've had the truck sitting in the driveway for the past two years and now it won't start. Hugh difference.

Check the connections going into the Valve Covers.
There is no Injection pump on Powerstrokes.
They have a HEUI (Hydraulic Electric Unit Injection) system.
Engine oil pushes a piston that forces the fuel into the cylinder at 2600 psi.
The fuel pump under the turbo pumps up fuel from the tank into the bowl then back to the other side of the pump then to the injectors at around 60 psi at idle.
If you checked the fuel pressure via the schrader valve on the Fuel Pressure Regulator (FPR), it only needs to be 25 psi for the truck to start.
Make sure the plug on the passenger side of the fuel bowl is still plugged in. The valve that controls the oil pressure to the injectors is controled electronically through that plug.
