the husband is cleaning up and will be here to chat with you. his name is Jeff. I can't tell you how nice this is to have folks spend their time to help another ford lover driving. Thank you again,
Jennifer
how can I check the pressure from the hpop and what should the pressure be
You would need a scanner to check it. It should be 500 - 600 PSI on start up. Disconnecting the ICP it would default to 750 PSI.

Can't tell you how many times on here the starter was the issue and how surprised the owner was when the put a new starter in and how fast the truck turned over. I'm not saying that is your problem but WAG, with that many miles and starter never replace I would look into it.
you know i never thoought of that but even if it was turning too slow there still would be grey fog?
Nope, PCM will not even try to fire the injectors until at least 100 RPM. I'm not trying to spend you money but I've never heard of a starter lasting 270K miles either.
I will try that after work tomorrow. i'm working about 8- miles from home so am going to bed THANK YOU for all your help. I will pick up a starter and let you know tomorrow evening. Jeff
