I have a 1986 Ford F-250 4 speed 4x4 with a 6.9L Diesel that need a bell housing. I been looking all over Oregon and cant find one. Could someone help me please.
What's happened to the original bellhousing?
My first one broke at the clutch pivot fork. The slave cylinder bracket broke off at the same time. What a mess. The previous owner cobbled together a mechanical linkage setup, must have come from an early 80's gasser with a mechanical linkage setup. I had a local welder patch the pivot point back in, and leave the slave cylinder bracket off. I continued to use the mechanical linkage.
Just a thought, depending on your bellhousing condition.
Its my dad and my truck. He just shift into gear few week back and hear a sound then looked underneath the truck and it was a big hole in the bell housing. I think it was a weak spot and the clucth fork went through.
Twice and it is still in there, The first time I just welded up the crack with a mig. The second time I built up all the low spots in it. This time with a torch and some rod called wonder rod.

Sorry we couldn't have been more help. Unfortunately as you can see, you are not the only one that had to deal with a broken bell housing on a T19 transmission. Its quite rare to find one without a transmission still attached to it.
