Hi, I'm replacing the rear rotors on my 02 Expedition, and noticed that one one side the new rotor is going on only with great difficulty because the parking brake shoes are in the way.
Upon further inspection behind the parking brake shoes, I found that the parking brake cable has come off the hook behind the shoes. I'm having a hard time with getting the end of the parking brake re-attached to that hook. Is my only option to remove the cable, or is there some other method I can use to reattach the cable to that hook?
Thanks.
You can remove the cable, you can use a large pair of pliers on the arm where it hits the shoes and pull it over, or you can just give it the old college try and force it on.
