I am finally trying to install the exhaust system that I bought in early January. I have it alremoved except the downpipe. I have loosened the clamp and the t bolt is loose but I can't get the clamp off. I have tried prying on it a little but don't want to bend it up since I have to reuse it. Any ideas/tips to get it off?
X2 what Pete said above, glad you got it, was only a matter of time. Not sure on what brand exhaust you got but watch for the pipe where the trans cross member bolt is, it tends to hit there on some trucks, it did on mine, just re-adjusted it again. . Align and clamp things down starting from the downpipe then back.
I went with a 4" Magnaflow. For the price I couldn't pass it up ($310) and it is SS with a lifetime warranty. I didn't like that it was 7 pieces for my truck but I figure that I will be tightening it a few times. Good clearence though and easy install (except the downpipe). But I got that with the wifes help. It was fun to see her under the truck helping me line it up.
On every exhaust system that I have done I cut the down pipe with sawzall I think stick a piece of pipe in the down pipe and use that as leverage to wiggle it loose works like a charm every time.
