sticking downpipe clamp

I am finally trying to install the exhaust system that I bought in early January. I have it alremoved except the downpipe. I have loosened the clamp and the t bolt is loose but I can't get the clamp off.

I have tried prying on it a little but don't want to bend it up since I have to reuse it. Any ideas/tips to get it off?

Perseverance, a lot of penetrating oil, careful prying and keep trying. That clamp is a bear to get loose but keep at it and you will prevail.

Lots of PB Blaster and a small pry bar or flat head screw driver and a small hammer and try and get it to pop off. Keep at it you will get it

A little PB blaster and it came loose. I guess I just had to take out my maxi pad and put a little muscle in it. Thanks all.

Another trick is to loosen the clamp before you cut the factory downpipe in two pieces with a sawzall. The sawzall tends to rattle it loose.

X2 what Pete said above, glad you got it, was only a matter of time. Not sure on what brand exhaust you got but watch for the pipe where the trans cross member bolt is, it tends to hit there on some trucks, it did on mine, just re-adjusted it again. . Align and clamp things down starting from the downpipe then back.

On every exhaust system that I have done I cut the down pipe with sawzall I think stick a piece of pipe in the down pipe and use that as leverage to wiggle it loose works like a charm every time.
