Plans for trailer
Does anyone have any plans for a car/truck carrying tandem axle trailer? The ones I see on the 'net what to charge for them. I sure someone or somewhere has a set of FREE plans.

Free stuff is typically worth what you pay for it. Registration is the main issue with home built trailers, might want to check into that before you start building. A set of actual engineered plans might not be a bead investment. Besides, most of them are $15-$30, not a big investment especially if you build more than one trailer.
Case in point:
I built this trailer in WA in 2008-
I could not register it there, it needed an inspection and a serial number and a bunch of other stuff then the state would assign a GVW. It was a 6-month wait to get in to get it inspected as well, so I just ran it under trip permits for a year.
Moved to Idaho, it just needed to be weighed, and I got five year plates for $30.
Case in point:
