ok, so drove the truck to work and back yesteday no odd noises at all. today all of a sudden it had what sounds like a exhaust leak..but you dont really hear it unless its under load between 2k-3k rpms otherwise it sounds normal and quite. its very odd, i crawled under the truck with it running could not find any spots that looked cracked or broke. the manifolds were my first thought but all the studs and nuts are attached and tight, none missing...i'm toatly stumped.
next week i'm gonna try to get an appointment with a guy i trust that owns shop i need to get her in for balljoints anyhow this just sped up the process.
i would not think its a plug issue since i have a '04 which is supposed to have updated heads fixing the plug issue all together correct? they are the factory plugs btw i have not changed them yet(have them but havent done it)
i'm hoping its just a gasket lol
ugh its just pissing me off, i need to do the balljoints (they arent loose but the right side is making a terrible noise when turning) which i guess i'll just do this week since it'll be in there. i also have a slight vibration at 65-70 which i've tracked down to the rear drive line which now i need to get rebalanced and do new ujoints...crap adds up lol
ok i'm pretty sure its a manifold stud busted, which one i'm not sure yet lol
i took it out this morning, no noise when its cold. once it warmed up you can hear it pretty good right between 2-3k rpms but not really there at any other rpm. also it had to be under load. i wasnt able to check all the bolts today but i'm pretty sure thats what it is. when i know for sure though i'll update.
