How was the show? I got tapped to work. But I'm not sure I would have gone anyway. They wanted $9. for parking and $18 to get in. Seems like a lot. Last time I went there were only about 10 or 15 Ford trucks there!

It's $8 for parking and $17 to get in over here. If you're a GG members, you can use the $5 off coupon that's found in each of the monthly GG Gazette.

………………………not sure, could be wrong, but I don’t think Col Flashman is going to like that truck.
So?
Tee hee
I looked up the prices online....Del Mar Fairgrouinds said $9 and $18. But $8 and $17 is stil la bit more than I wanted to pay for what I saw two years ago.
A very nice showing.Have you finished your truck Charlie?
Not yet. I recently rented a commercial shop here in El Cajon not far from the house so I am a lot better setup now to work on it. Only problem with having a "regular" shop is now I am doing work for others in the club (and elsewhere) so I have to stay focused. I have it entered in the Big Bear show and the Lake Havasu show this year so it WILL be done by mid-summer.

Those are beautiful Charlie! A very nice showing from your club.
I guess I should have been a little more specific. I was disapointed with there only being 4 or 5 Bonus Built Trucks two years ago. And that's what I went to see.
There's lots of beautiful cars and trucks - I'm just a little bummed when I spend $27 to look at some Bonus Builts and there's lots of "Effies," 32 Ford Roadsters, 57 Chevys, and more Volkswagens than 48-52 Fs. But that's just me - not in the proper "Car Club Experience" frame of mind I guess.
Pickups Limited San Diego is a 53-56 F100 only club but our sister chapter in OC has recently voted to allow F1 trucks as well. We have not seen much interest from prospective members in bringing in the earlier models but if there was such interest I am sure that it would be considered. I am the chairperson for this year's Fords & Friends Picnic, our 23rd annual show, that will be hosted for the very first time at Felicita Park in Escondido on Sunday June 13th. I encourage you to bring out your truck and join us for a good time! It's in your backyard so no excuses...:~) Pickups Limited - San Diego
