I realize this is a 4 year old thread, but can't help but mention the complete lack of thought that went into the butchering of the engine control/emissions systems in this truck. Only imagine the sludge inside that engine with two vacuum lines sucking on the rocker cover and no way for air to get in... ~Bill

I ran a 300 for 15 years in a 77, F350 it had a FMX tranny heavy pain in the *** to fix ,, I did put a C-6 in ,, I also had a 302 with a C-4 very strong tranny ,, I believe it has less drag than a C-6 . C-4 is lighter really stout auto,, hard to kill a 300 6 .
