auto trans possable issues

Ok after typing this 2 times. I have a 99 f450 powerstroke with 01 f550 trans and 88k miles. it sports a 4" exhaust, dp tuner chip, triple tree guages, 268 or something like that air filer.
Ok i was towing my 32ft trailer, trans climbed to 210 deg. and started to rev up before shifting. I called dp, but they werent available to pick up. Which i can understand since i own my own buisness. And have a quote for 2300 to get it rebuilt with larger torque converter, and maybe a shift improver/ valve body kit if i can get ahold of dp before it goes to the shop. Any idea's? Maybe needs a sensor or definatly a full rebuild?

So what does you tranny temp usually run at? Between shifts, how many RPM's are we talking about between shifts. How many did it rise (if at all) prior to this. Was you radiator fan engaged (read, was you "working" the truck pretty hard?)

usually trans temp is set at 170-190 the 210 was when going up a 10 story tall easy hill. trans has never given me these problems between shifts. I have also taken the trailer off and had shifting issues.

not a problem, just kinda scared about my issue. I dont really have the extra 2500 for new trans. And i just kinda want to get others feedback since the people here have never steered me wrong so far.

I hope it's the gauge that is bad. 250 is way to hot to get these trans. Being your trans is an '01, you might have the dreaded Diode in it. I think I would get the trans checked out soon. I have the same trans as you, but I will be getting my trans rebuilt by Brian (BTS) monday because I don't want to be left on the side of the road. Good luck.
