Well I think I've got another injector or two going out. This is getting rediculous. Changed the oil for the first time since owning the truck @ 45K, lost 4 injectors. Changed the oil 2nd time @ 50K now have a "not as bad" rough cold start. It's a diffinative miss on the first few revolutions of the engine only at cold start. I have the newest flash. 1st oil change w/ Motorcraft 15w-40; 2nd w/ Rotella dino 15w-40. BTW the coldest morning here recently has been about 45 degrees.
I do remember the guy I bought it from telling me not to try to go far once the Low Fuel indicator popped up. That leads me to believe he ran it out at least once. Are these injector problems coming from him running it out of fuel? After owning this truck for a total of 8,000 miles I have to say it's not exactly confidence inspiring. I have to keep telling myself you'll get all the bugs out before the warranty goes out. I guess I should try to get them to change to the new fuel pressure regulator spring while I've got it at the dealer paying my Ben Franklin.

I wouldn't wait for the low fuel indicator indication to come on before I refueled. I start looking to refuel when it hits 1/4 on the gage.
As far as the regulator spring, I'd at least have them check the fuel pressure to see if there is an issue and go from there.
You do not qualify for the 5 yr / 60k PowerTrain warranty (the start date is 7/14/06). However, your fuel injection system is covered under the emissions warranty (5 yr / 100k).

I thought the emissions was 5/50K, I was under the impression that I just lost my emissions warranty 300 mi ago. I just checked the ford website and you are right, No ben franklin for them, although I'll have to find a ride. Thanks to all.
Mine won't run right on anything but 5-40 Synthetic.
You might have to change it more than once to flush out the dino.
I run a trophy truck race team and get oils for free (I've got 40 gal of the latest 15-40 at the shop) and I still buy the 5-40 Synthetic, that should tell you something. Our sponsor which starts with L and ends with s is coming out with a 5-40 synthetic soon, I'll give a report.
My truck is in the shop right now getting 3 injectors replaced. I initially was inquiring about the rough start and newest flash. After the flash, they identified the bad injectors and said it's covered under the emissions warranty (8/80) is what I was told. Looking forward to getting it back tomorrow.
