That is not true . In 97 you only need one key to program up to a total of 8 .
You also can program a new key or replacement lock tumbler and keys as you already read it does involve a lot of waiting and time outs (something as potential thief can wait for) . but no dealer needed.

Yes, I have two good keys. Thanks for the loc on C269. This is my last shot at it. The beast hasn't run since Wednesday and the wife is starting to get antsy.
One other question. I found a used PATS module from a 98 Expedition that has the same part number as mine. Except the last two letters, the used one is "CC", mine is "CB". What's the difference? Will this one work?
