Consumer Guide rates the '03 Excursion

Consumer Guide rates the '03 Excursion
While standing around waiting for my PSD Ex to be pulled up from the back, talking with other than MY Svc writer, he said it's a good thing you bought the '02 and not the '03... the '03 6 liter has been just stopping while running down the road... he said no warning - just stops... and this was while they wee being prepped for sale !!!
Course this is the same place that had my '02 Ex for 3 weeks to get a small list of things done, so take that with a grain of salt...
My tirade at the dealerships got me a free oil change and a promise that "if this doesn't fix the turbo whine, we'll take acre of it!!!
I know it won't, but I got a free oil change outta them !!!
They tried all the tricks... "Operating as designed", "Within tolerances", "All we can get is remanufactured parts"...
When I countered with
"NO IT's NOT",
"LIKE HECK (not really what I said!), IT IS!",
"I'll pay with remanufactured money" and increased the volume a LOT...
they started making promises... we'll give them a week....
Darn, I hate the excuses !
Good thing I LOVE our Ex... I just wish they could get it right !!!
