Looking at purchasing an Excursion (99-03) with the 7.3 diesel 4x4, xlt version.

What kinds of things should I look for/request when reviewing possible trucks.

If this question still stands you might want to post it on the Excursion thread. Check normal stuff like ball joints, front steering for sloppiness, brakes, all fluids quality, etc

I'm not versed on the 7.3l but the only weak spot I know of is the CPS which can go out.
