Ford C-Max Hybrid destroys the Prius

Loved this review.

2013 Ford C-MAX Hybrid Review

I wonder if there's any chance that Ford will ever convince consumers that their hybrid is better than the Toyota Prius that is adored by Hollywood?

You bet! I enjoy any unbiased consumer reviews that proves a Ford superior in every measurable way to a Toyota and thought it was worth passing along.

I've never considered owning a hybrid but the C-Max has my attention.

Good review. I think this will definitely be a game changer and the Prius will have to step up to keep up.

Isn't it interesting how the C-Max continues to get superior reviews (even from the likes of Consumer Reports who typically detests American cars) yet struggles to gain market share from the Prius?

Love my Fusion Energi plug-in hybrid. Just got gas in it for the first time since the middle of April and I drive it about 50 miles a day. Right now my marginal cost per kwh at home is 19 cents, so it costs me about $1.20 to drive 25 miles or so, depending on speed (wind resistance). I charge at work for considerably more, so it costs about $3, or more expensive than gas. Today I drove 20 miles and had 31% battery left as an example of a steady, slow drive up HWY 101 through Silicon Valley in the HOV lane.

Oh, and the local Ford dealer has a new Prius that they have the customers test drive before they test drive the Fusion. Apparently the freeway onramp right there sells people on the Ford vs the Toyota.

If you whip and electrocute the squirrels in the Energi it's good for 188 HP. Plenty to get on the freeway.
