Carb and Intake?

Ok I had a simple Q for all of you who have Edelbrock carbs on your trucks. When I buy my 600 cfm performer, is it a good idea or a waste of $ to buy the performer intake? I heard the dino tests that were done to my friends truck with the stock intake on and the performer intake werent much different? Is it worth the money or no? Also whats the best Cam for my little 302? And remember I want it to sound and perform optimal.

Even if you do happen to have a stock 4 barrel manifold for that engine you will see a major improvement with the Edlbrock manifold and the difference is definately enough to see on the dyno. The manifold will allow the engine to breathe enuogh to use the potential of the 600 carb. This will allow the maximum ammount of fuel to flow through your heads as possible. For the cam I would condider the tranny-Manual or Auto? If manual than you would want a cam that gives more power in the upper RPM range where the greatest potential is with your 302 especially with this top end set up. I would suggest a comp cams 268/268 duration cam.
