Well come to find out my oil rail on top of the injectors pulled loose and busted the oring on one of the injectors.
The bolts that hold the rail down stripped the aluminum out.
Has anyone heard of or seen this happen before? Now I get to make a trip to the dealer for a $680.00 part!

I've heard of injectors blowing their tops, but I've NEVER heard of the bolts that secure the rail loosening up on their own. Has anyone had to remove that rail recently for any repair? The only way that could conceivably happen, is if they weren't torqued down properly. By the way, are you going to be replacing this part yourself? The reason I ask, is because you had better add a head gasket and new head bolts to your shopping list as well, because the part you refer to (which is called the rocker arm carrier by the way) requires removal of the head bolts to replace (and in turn, the head gasket). Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
Yeah the parts are on the way, I have arp studs in it already so all I need is a head gasket. I done the work when I had the motor out (new heads). I torqued everything to fords specs from the Workshop manual. it has about 10,000 miles on it since it was done. The bolts pulled the aluminum thread out. I dont know what happened but I checked the other side and they are still good.
I in fact have helicoiled a few rocker boxes, not had any issue doing it. install the coils with locktite and let it setup before installing NEW oil rail bolts.
