I can't tell if I am on the map or not, Houston is just too crowded. I am in the center of Houston, in the Heights.

Big news! Last time I cared Houston was about 2.5 million. Now some say we are at 7 million in the area. Don't dare drive here during the day. I have been here way too long!

I've been here in Houston for 30 years, currently I-10 W. @ the Beltway, west Houston 77079. Houston is a tiny, tiny suburb compared to Los Angeles, which I lived in for two years.

I drove through the Heights this morning, on my way back from Memorial Park. Nice to see they finally built and opened up the feeder to the freeway from Heights!

Houston is not crowded. You can open your front door in LA and bump shoulders with a few thousand people while trying to walk down to the corner to the coffee shop. It happened to me, made my head spin.

You can breathe here in Houston, stretch your arms out, open your truck up on the freeway.

Silver Lake is where I first used to live, then in Glendale and then in San Gabriel/Rosemead. Worked in Pasadena. Who tells you your numbers? I think when I was up there in 2000-2001 it was over 14 million.

LA Metro Population

The United States Census Bureau estimates the population of the Los Angeles-Long Beach-Riverside, California Combined Statistical Area as of July 1, 2008 as 17,775,984. The LA metro population is the country's second largest, following New York City (New York-Newark-Bridgeport, NY-NJ-CT-PA).
