Replace key switch 1989 F150

My key has broken off in my ignition! I am looking for instructions on replacing the key switch. If anyone knows how or has a web address that shows the diagram or can give very detailed instructions that would be very helpful! Thank you in advance

Replace key switch 1989 F150

You can get a new lock set at almost any parts store. As long as you can put the igniton in the run position it is a easy job. The instrutions come with the lock.

Replace key switch 1989 F150

This site shows how to remove the lock cylinder with the key or without. If your is a tilt column, just turn it to RUN and push the tiny pin just below the lock cylinder and pull it out. If it's non-tilt, you have to pull the steering wheel to push the pin inside.
