Roarin' IDI with a locked up fan. You can't get anything louder than that! Forget about that good song on the radio, you won't hear it! lol
Hasn't locked up in the last year, now the fan is loose as hell. Wonder if it snaped a bolt? Needs a clutch anyhow so I gotta go do that before driving it back home in a couple weeks. Don't wanna drive it here even though it's only 10 min. Affraid the fan will end up in the rad.
nah.that's just getting her setting nice and level Dave. lol
hey,i popped the hood to check the trans level and oil.......never really paying attention until i read this thread....my fan is spinning.does it always spin some all the time?
not hot or anything.its just spinning.appears to be spinning fast.
does this mean my fan clutch is broken?
maybe iv never heard it off,so i never knew it was supposed to run quieter? or am i ok..all systems normal here..and when she really warms up,it's really loud?
can't be good for fuel mileage i wouldn't think spinning like it is.
The OEM overheat switch is a 244* normally open switch mounted in the port in the front of the Left cylinder head near the P/S pump. I mount my temp sender for my Autometer gauge at the rear of the Left head down below the Master Cylinder. I see 240*+ when pulling the hills with trailer fully loaded in 100*+ weather. No I don't like it.
