MLPS aligment...????

as i have steady problems with my gearshifts (E4OD) i've tried to align my mlps, but it's the original ford one and i don't see any marks on it. how so can i do an alignment without the special tool??? possible or not? i won't toast my tranny and the harsh shifts are pretty irritating

I've never seen an MLPS that didn't have alignment marks. Without the tool and without alignment marks I don't think you can align it.

Clean it off and you should be able to see some alignment marks
