Banks iQ

I am curious about the Banks iQ. I read an article about it in Diesel Power.

I am not interested in tuning my truck (ill wait until the warranty expires for that) I want to just be able to more closely monitor things like EGT's, Tranny temp, oil temp, and coolant temp.

I am wondering if you can do this with the iQ without the six-gun? Also what is required? Will i need to drill into the manifold pre and post turbo for EGT's, or does it do everything through the OBDII port?

I know this is a new product, but hopefully some of you have it. Let me know what you think about it! Or if you have another device that dose similar things, let me know!

Thanks
Kyle...

I have the 6-gun and the IQ. The IQ will be avail for use without the 6-gun in a few weeks. It has several monitoring functions and is super easy to navigate. You can even set alarms for EGT and eng and trans temps.

Just a plug into the obdII port and route the wire where you like it and you are done.

Here is where mine is:

Here is what it looks like at the port:

And no, you do not need to drill, there are already several EGT probes in the exhaust stream that feed data to the ECM. The IQ will be able to display them no problem.
