ok so figured id ask here, my turn signal light on the dash will work like it should and tick but some times it does it real fast like a bulb is out then it will go back to normal any ideas? all the lights work even when its blinking quickly, the signals just flash faster i dont know im stumped
The connections on teh rear tail lights are pretty common for getting dirt and corrosion in the light socket. I would check that , and the front ones. Ya never know. It sounds more like a bad flasher though.
I'm always pulling big trailers with mine, some withjust a couple lights, some with nearly a hundred of them, some with LED's some regular.
I had to get an electronic flasher unit for the truck. It fixed that same problem on mine. The old standard one in it does not like LED's or having a whole lot of lights running through it.
Look at the flasher if it's not a heavy duty (clear) replace it w/ one. If problem persists climb under rear of truck w/ can of electrical contact cleaner & di-electric grease. Pull each connector appart, clean/spray w/ cleaner then plug back together, when all is working well undo connectors again & load up w/ di-electric grease. It allows good contact & helps prevent corrosion & crap from accumilating in the connectors. That's what I had to do w/ my 97 when I first bought it 3+ yrs ago.
