You can make the opening just loose enough to remove the switch easily if you want to. Mine actually pops out of the opening ever so slightly once in a while.

Here's mine. In the picture the mount is upside down, but I have since fixed it. I had one of the first prototypes of this mount. It is a much more refined in the finished version. I really like it. It doesn't look crooked when you are sitting in the seat. The lines in the pictures look much worse. It looks like it belongs there when you are driving.

Yup, yup, and yup!
Mine used to fit really tight in the JMS mount. But over time the "press fit" feeling of tightness has relaxed. Now it just fits snugly, but is easily removed if desired. Easily if I don't push the darn switcher all the way in. But even then, if ya have fingernails, it slides out easy enough.

Here's where mine was in my SD. Put it there because the PO did me a favor of already having a big ugly hole in the dash there, so I made it bigger and mounted the switcher.
