well me truck started shaking pretty bad when i would brake so i decided to change the rotor that was bad. everything was going smooth, i put the rotor and hub assembly back on the spindle and as i was putting the the caliper bracket back on i noticed that i was rubbing on the rotor a little. well i shaved a tiny bit off the the bracket so it wouldnt rub and seemed to work but as i put the pads back on they were sitting in the right position. the pads seem to be off and dont hud the rotor as they should. is it possible that the bracket could have warped like the rotor or did i get a bad new rotor? the wear on the old rotor looks like everything was in the correct place. please help!
The caliper top channel head is what your saying is touching the rotor, right?
If so you may want to check your bearings to ensure that the race way did not get tore up causing the rotor to set off center. Did you spin gauge the rotor for a off set?
Then double check the shoe placement in the reciever foot and head channels of the caliper for proper installation then reinstall the bolts. spin turn and check clearances to the stationary.
How does the new shoes fit on the rotor? Tight or loose?
