1999 F350 4x4 dually. Replacing brakes front and back. Rotors, Pads, and hoses. On the left front put rotor back on and torqued down hub nuts on rotor. Then caliper mounting bracket wouldn't fit back between mounting bracket and rotor. Loosened the hub nuts on rotor, and fit mounting bracket in place. Then torqued down the hub nuts again, and rotor rubs on mounting bracket and rotor/hub won't turn. any ideas?
Did the other side fit properly to ensure you have the correct rotors? Are the rotor model numbers matching?
If so, the new rotor must have not completely seated against the hub properly. Maybe some lube to help seat? Rust and debris could help hold it out a bit.
Did you reverse the hub 180 degrees to ensure it isn't on improperly.
Did you spin the hub once on to ensure its not warped?
You got the wrong rotor for the truck. I have a 1999 also. There are 4 different front rotors listed for that truck, 2 different diameters and 2 different backspace. I went through this also when I replaced mine.
