Evening all. My job is what I make it, .... good, bad, etc. I work for the same boss that Don does,... myself. As for a saw mill in Boardman...... is there a tree within 200 miles? Go figure. Any way, hope all is well with you all, and remember..... in uncertain times the only certain thing is uncertainty. Somebody said that.... I don't know. Jeff

The sawmill in Boardman is the first all new one built in Oregon in over 30 years! It was built to take advantage of the 50 THOUSAND ACRE Hi-bred Poplar farm about 10 miles east.
Morning all. I thought the Poplar was just for pulp. I also knew they had an acre or two, but not that many. New resource, more jobs, it's all good. Untill the huggers find out that wild life has moved in. Then it will become a rare and unique eco-system. Oooops I said a bad word, I'm sorry. Jeff
The tree farm started out with pulp in mind, but another company bought the whole 50,000 acres and built a new sawmill. The wood is used for furniture.
The new "forest" has so many "critters" that ODFW has 2 people stationed there to catch poachers............There are bear, couger, deer, and elk in there!

Weyerhauseuer built a new mill between Lebanon and Sweethome in 08........State of the art doug fir stud mill, still trying to get on there, and I used to work for Weyco. The market has tanked since they built it.
Evening all. This is better, much more enjoyable than the yellow news reports on the tv. I learn things I didn't know from people I believe I can believe. Sounds corny, but it works for me. Getting ready for a little weather snit tonight, nothing serious, you know those idle threats mother nature makes...... just before she blows the roof off your house. Well it was a productive day, I like those. How about anyone else, how's it going out in the world? Jeff
Morning Jeff. It flat poured here yesterday. Last night it rained like a cow pissing on a flat rock...lol 80% chance of rain today! We need to send this crap back to Dave!
You know what they say about a returned gift. Hahaha. Say, Ford six is looking for sheet metal that I happen to have, are you still going to Ontario for doors? Maybe if he wants my stuff we could arrange some mutualy beneficial shipping. Share some costs, etc. What ever might work. No one's been volunteered or anything like that. Just exploring possabilities. Jeff
This is what I got last night. We're supposed to get more today. It's a good thing I don't really need to go anywhere. I can stay inside where it's warm and dry and watch it out the windows.
My son-in-law is the one that responded to his want add. He has a good front clip also, but Mike and I are taking his new HHR to Ontario to pick up the doors, so I won't be taking a pickup.
If we can work it out we planed on stopping by to see ya. Either on the way down, or back. I'm going to stop and see my brother in Baker City also. Still want to go to Klamath Falls first, to pick up his 65, but we don't have the title yet..................
