1972 FORD 351-C 4V With CJ Heads

Anybody tell me if a 72 351c with cobra jet heads, date code on block is 2L20 the intake is 2A14 is any good? Not up to speed on 351C motors but sure sounds good. Not sure if heads are open or closed chamber.
Thanks.

If the motor is origional, a '72 351CJ should have open chamber 4v heads with a nonadjustable valve train & hydraulic cam. The block should have 4 bolt mains.

Motor any good? What kind of power output? Can be modified for more power? Open chamber heads are not to good overall or not? Thought any cobra jet head should be good?
Thanks.

Are the Ex. Ports very large and almost Square.

Those motors can make huge power, you better have deep pockets but the prices have started to be better.

The power band is very high on those things.

Cobra Jet head have the bigger valves 2.198 inches/int and 1.715/exh with large ports. Check on the side of the block for block identification. Should be like D2AE-CA.
SAE"net" in 72 the 4v/cj 266 Bhp@5400rpm and 301lb-ft @3600rpm.

open chambered heads in that pic, they are the less desirable heads, if your racing.
