AH!!!! This has got to be the wildest morning I have had in a very long time. Forgive me, but I am still shaking from the event. I am rolling to the Navy Base down hwy385 rolling around 70mph. As I approach the exit 1/4 mile away, I see these headlights coming towards me.......then they twist and turn.......then I see sparks and debree flying in front of me. I slam on my brakes with all I have and swerve to miss the upside down auto. Running over the guard wires and posts that were knocked down in the middle of the street. Finally stopping my beast, I put my wig wag kit on (thank God I had it installed a few days before), grab a torch flashing red light and my flash light. As I run over to the car I see a shelby county officer gettting out of the car in a daze. Amazingly, he had a cut on his finger and that was it. Man.....talk about my heart racing. A few seconds earlier, then It would be a different story, as I would have hit the car head on.....and here I was yelling at a guy that wouldnt get over at a light, so I could turn right on red.......that GUY just saved my life.
Well at work now with some java and calmin my nerves, everyone have a blessed day, as this is mine.........peace
Thats exactly what I told the officer, that God was watching over both of us today! And to top it off, the reason he lost control was a plastic Nascar gocart body that was in the middle of the road.....WOW.
I had an experience many years ago and knew I was not in control of my vehicle on an icy bridge with multiple vehicles going in different spinning directions, I managed to avoid three spinning cars while I drove through the mess!
Well who would schedule a stupid building firealarm at 0700 in the morning?? One good thing, is I got to have a cup of java while watching the sun rise enjoying the morning air...hehe
