I'll introduce you to a guy doing that with conventional oil, 350,000 miles and still going, it's oil and filter quality, and commitment to it, not flipping around to different brands.
Yep, Havoline is the only choice for me, no fan of waxy oils. His uses a quart between changes, not bad for a 300 I-6, he's complaining of lacking power, I keep telling him, 3 fuel pumps over the years, I'd look into replacing the injectors, they are the originals.
7 more days of giving myself IV antibiotics, every 6 hours, add you gotta remove it from the fridge to warm it up 30 minutes before administering, then another 30 minutes to run it, looking at 4 hours of sleep, oh god I'm going nutz.
having a home of your own is the only way to go, renting is throwing money into someone elses pocket!
I will second that. If you build a new one be your own contractor. We did and save tons of money. The builder forgot to allow for the roof line to come down into the bedrooms and had to add a extra floor for a attic. It helped the looks by doing that and we got another level for almost nothing. We built it around 97 and have almost 4k feet for 45k. We will have it paid off this year after paying for it for 13 years. So owning to me is the way to go.
As far as today we got out in the old truck. I checked it out and found a small drip in the radiator. I resoldered it and it seemed to hold. When I got back I checked it again and it still needs to be resoldered. I think I will pull it next week and resolder. It probably didn't leak out more than half a pint if that much. It was a radiator that was almost new. It probably didn't get sealed in that area from the factory. I took my wife and daughter out for a milkshake. We drove around Smithville. One guy looked like he got whiplash at the Ford dealership when we passed. We may have ot take it out to McMinnville next week. I may try to head out to Lebanon or Murfreesboro sometime this year.
Well a great ending to a absolutely awesome weekend. Got my smoked cab lights and mirror blinkers installed. Built most of my cabana, other than the roof. I was able to fully detail the wifes car and my truck....talk about super clean looking vehicles. I just wish I had time to get the porsche cleaned up and ready for spring, but thats another day.
Well next weekend is my 17 year wedding anniversary so hope to enjoy some time away from everything.
Got to finish my remote start, may pull the kick panels tomorrow to finalize it all, gotta locate the horn wire too, can't find it. Want to do it before the weekend, leave that time for working on my mid.
