Vacuum pump?

Anyone know how to check the vacuum pump? I have two PSD's the f-250 after start up I immediately have brakes on the F-350 after start up there is a 3-4 second lag time where I do not have full braking power (its a bitch on hill starts ) after the 3-4 second interval brakes work as they should it just the 3-4 seconds...... I am thinking vacuum pump issues

I'm not aware of a test procedure, but when mine went out, the pedal was VERY hard. I had to 'muscle' it to get the brakes to work.

Mooseman,

that's how mine is for the first 3-4 seconds its like no power assist, it must be a bad or going bad vacuum pump......

Check your hoses and connections too you might have a bad line

You can cut one of the lines, put a T into it and then hook a vaccum gauge up to it. I had to replace mine last year and that was how I checked it.
