Ford said yesterday that the 2011 trucks got the ok to be shipped from the Kentucky Truck plant to the dealers! Also the final HP & TQ numbers are about to be the released and are supposed to be much higher as I stated in a pervious thread. A Ford rep told me they were just playing the game and put out a fake 390 / 735 because they knew that GM would try to top them but thats old news. Trucks are on the way, but I dont know when they will be at the dealers. It should be soon though. If your truck was built frist it might be blocked in on the line so if you ordered first you might have to wait a little longer.
Good luck to everyone that ordered one of these beast!
I think so I believe the 6.7s were getting reflashed for the extra HP & TQ or they were just waiting to get the final numbers close to being announced.
All repaired trucks are either shipping or being staged for shipping. This includes both diesel and gas. Gas started loading this past Saturday and the diesels on Monday. Trains with the trucks on them are rolling down the tracks as you read this...
It absolutely amazes me to think that my truck which is to be delivered to a dealer south of Chicago, about a 5 hour trip from the KTP, would be put on a train, shipped to a depot, and then loaded on a transport truck to be driven to the dealer which is likely at least an hour or so from the train depot. Seems like a long way around the mountain.
How do they get them on or in the rail car? Are they hauled on a flatbed or in a box
How do get them on there?
"my truck came in a crate, lol" j/k
Mine is coming overnite UPS.I had to pay a little extra for an oversized box. Must of been those new flares that did it. What can brown do for you.....? LOL
That's not as bad as getting charged a delivery fee when you or your dealer are less then a 1/2 hour away from the plant. That's what will happen when I order mine some day.
The trucks are shipped both by rail and truck. The 405hp 775 torque rumor might be a little low probably closer to 420hp and 800 torque these are the numbers from the plant. Oh yea and 21mpg's too
Those are the kind of numbers everyone was hoping for from this new motor. If ford can produce those kinds of numbers and have the MPG's along with the durability that would be sweet as pie!!! Then just to top it off you add the plush interior and new information center along with sync ??? NOBODY can beat the new SUPER DUTY!!!!! ha ha ha ha ha

Anyone know when Ford Corp. is expected to release official numbers?
Anyone have any idea what a bare bones 2WD Reg cab ex bed with zero options except for the 6.7 would run? Sticker on my 01 set up the same way was around 24K I believe. If the 2011 could be had for somewhere close to this I'd be all over it. I don't need any options. I bet it would rip too. 400+ HP and 750+ TQ is pretty close to double what my 7.3 is putting out and it moves very well with that.
