yea take it to a front end shop and have it checked out...not that you wont fix it your self but there is probly more bad parts gonna need a good alinement after fix .... theres a tech folder at the top of this fourm thats how i found out my gear
Also, my left front wheel is tilted in at the top (too much camber?). Is that a ball joint problem or something else?
Some tilting is okay, but if it's too much it is a ball joint problem. There are spacers inserted in the knuckle that the ball joint is pressed into that set the camber. The only thing that is adjustable is the toe, which a shop can do. If your camber is off, then you most likely have one (or both) ball joints going bad on that side or the truck sustained some damage that altered the camber of the wheel.
As for the ratio, I'm not sure what ratios come with the options packages for the V10. I would guess either 3.73 or 4.10, but I'm just spitballing. Hopefully somebody will chime in with a better anwer...
Can someone tell me what axle ratio I have (I checked the every list on this site didn't find a matching code). The tag reads "L30 10 5 9C15".
I think you might be looking at the wrong tag. Sometimes the diff will have two tags. Take another look.
You should also be able to read the code on the drivers door frame certificate label. Find the code, and then the chart in the tech folder will decode it for you. Maybe print the chart so you will know what the code is supposed to look like.
If all else fails, you can jack up the rear axle, mark a tire and the drive line, and count the rotations. If a PO has changed gears, that might be the only way to find out.
You truck has a Sterling 10.5" rear. Infront of the L30 there is probably a 4.
Which would read 4 L30. That means you have 430 gears with L - limited slip.

Thanks Zedrive! Everything I have found on other sites confirms what you said. It's good to find I have a Limited Slip, and 4:30 gears is good news because I plan on going to 315/75R16 tires later on.
As for my ball joints, I got the driver's side torn down today and will finish it up on Monday. I can't wait!
Just wanted to say thanks for everyone's input and for this site.
I got my driver's side ball joints replaced this weekend. Only the lower was bad, but since I had it apart I went ahead and did the upper also. My dad's buddy hooked me up with a matching upper (Spicer) that a customer never picked up for only $25.
The whole job went super easy thanks to working on a truck with absolutely no rust anywhere. My dad turned my rotors on his brake lathe while I had it all apart and another buddy of his found me a nice set of 285/75R16 Toyo M55 tires (about 40% tread) for $140 mounted and balanced.
So now I have a nice tight front end and no more bald tires!!
Thanks everyone! Next weekend it will be time to change the fluids and belt.
