power window
Driver side power window not working on the 96 XLT. Winsow stopped working for a day two weeks ago then next day worked, then didn't, then did for past 10 days, now isn't. What I've done.
1. checked 20amp breaker- it's good since passenger window works.
2. took off door panel and "inspected" wiring.
3. when I toggle the window switch with ignition on I hear a clicking somewhere near the window motor.
Suggestions?

thats the same thing mine did. heres what i found. when i took the door panel off i had to drill two holes to get to the motor bolts , not so bad, called auto parts store to find the motor was
$79.00 so i am very cheap and i took the moror apart and found the brush spring on one of the brushes was missing. i used a spring from a pen and its been working for four months now.
i would check for power at the motor first and then if good i would replace the motor.
