Squeek!!!! and hub Question
Also I noticed my drivers side hub only turn half way to the unlock position, the hub still disengages and engages but I ordered a rebuild kit for it any way.
My main concern is the squeek, I have greased all the Zerk fitting even the ones in the U joints but it still is squeeking. I have the truck up at my property and would like to know where I should start. seeing that while it is there I have to work in the dirt and gravel (shop is no where near done) and while it is squeeking I would rather not drive it 20 miles to work with lifts and all my tools. I is also a bummer cause I found a new trail to get to the backside of my property and it is killing me not to try it.
That being said you also have a small bearing inside of the spindle that often gets neglected. This can go dry and will squeak when the stub axle is being turned. This only turns when the front hubs are locked, so this might be your problem.
If your manual locking hubs are not turning all of the way, you must take them apart and find the obstruction.
Often times the inner gear is backwards, and wont disengage. This depends upon which style of lockout you have though.

Will I need to have the front on stands to pull the locking hubs off and inspect, As I said before I have limited tools and am working in the dirt were the truck is.
This only takes a couple of minutes really.
Put something on the ground, because this should be a rather clean procedure.
Dirt is not a good thing to have in there.
If you have to grease the inner bearing, you will have to remove the entire hub and pull the spindle though.
This will take a little while. You could spray some water or something in the back side of the spindle. If the squeak goes away after a small dose of water, you know you have found your problem.
Water wont hurt anything, but will lubricate just enough to make the noise go away for a minute or two.
Good way to isolate the problems, or find little squeaks like this.
BTW 75F350 I just looked at the pics of your front steering and have to say that is impressive, certainly going to do my steering like that when the time comes!
