390 FE Camshaft???

Okay guys I am going to rebuild a 390 to put in place of my 360 in my 76 F150 4x4. I need a camshaft for the build. I am rebuilding to stock with a little bit of street performance. What camshaft would you guys use.... I will be towing my car trailer every now and then....

How much compression ? What heads ? Gear ratio ?

Comp cams make amazing pro street cams. However, if you're not going to race or anything, stay away from their thumper cams, super f-ing rough idle.

I heard they had a bad batch of cores ? Wonder if they ever got that worked out ?

go with a stock 428 grind. with headers and a 3:35 you would love it.

I'm about to put an RV cam with .484/.510 into my 390 going into my truck. It should make pretty good low end torque, But I'll let you know If i like it or not.

ive got an rv cam in my 390 its .536 lift and duration of 214 @ .50 sounds decent has great vacuum still.
