Yea depending on what brand you go with, you could be out more money with analog gauges then getting all the fixins with the DashDAQ. Now you can get cheaper gauges, but you get what you pay for sometimes. There are some quality, less expensive gauges, but not all are quality and cheaper though.

Another problem I seem to be running into is I can't find any gage pods that mount on the dash for an 05+. I don't really want to mount anything on the pillar if I can avoid it.

You also have the windshield mount option. I have a pic of a 3 gauge one in my gallery.

FordMan35; Check out www. Pure Diesel Power.com they have 3 gauge pods for top of dash, and 3 gauge pods for bottom, plus a host of others.. You can find other selections just by googleing gauge pods. Hope this helps with what you are looking for.

flamebuster - definatly leaning towards insight and a separate gauge for fuel psi after seeing those prices. not that i am el cheapo or anything, i just don't think i really need to spend twice as much to monitor the same things.

tell me if i am wrong, but i was planning to use the insight to monitor ect, eot, trans fluid temp, egt, and volts. my 06 has a factory boost gauge so i guess i feel comfortable with that. then in addition i guess i would find a separate gauge for fuel psi. this should all cost somewhere around 500 if i've figured correctly (insight - 300ish, egt probe - 75, fuel psi gauge 100?, mounting stuff - 50 maybe).

Yep, that should be the max. you pay. Plus you might want to set the insight to monitor oil pressure.

Just from reading the pdf. instruction manual. in digital readout you can select. 2,3,4,6,or7 functions to display at one time. and if I understand it correctly you can set alarms for limits on any of the readouts.

Would Windows 7? Not saying I would go over to the Insight, just curious. I like tech talk.

I can see why you would be ticked. I use alarms all the time(thankfully though, only the VSS has screamed at me).

Performance Goodies:

Fluidampner*
ITP Regulated Return*
Headstuds*
FASS 150/180*
Suncoast Heavy Duty Rebuild Kit*
155mm^3 injectors
64mm Non-VGT turbo
Spartan Phalanx with Custom Tuning

*In of themselves those don't add hp/tq, but they do help with the addition of HP/TQ especially beyond just a tuner.

Analog Gauges:
Fuel PSI
TFT
ECT
V
60PSI Boost
EGT
Oil Pressure

DashDAQ**:
EOT
Injection Timing
Injection Pulse Width

**I do have it setup to where when I press "start log" it has other parameters that it logs as well, not just the 3 that I have setup in gauge format on the screen.
