Sag pump swap problems?

Alright fella's, I did my saginaw powersteering swap today. Went to the Junk yard and pulled the pump, bracket and hoses from a 93 E150 with 5.8L. The swap was a simple as could be. Just unbolt everything and bolt the new back up. Now for my problem. Neither the truck or econoline high pressure hose fits. The truck hose doesn't fit the sag pump and the econoline hose fitting is to big to fit my box. Is there a direct hose that fits and has the right bends? If not I have some extra high pressure stainless braided powersteering hose and fittings left over from another project I can use. I just need to know the fittings for the sag pump. Thanks

Check the back of truck pump. There is a fitting screwed into the pump that the hose threads into. Remove that and thread it into the van pump. That's what I did. As far as the hose goes, I carefully bent the truck hose to work with the new pump. The van hose was completely wrong.

Apparently, you can use a hose from a 79 f250 but I couldn't source one.

I saw that thread earleir. Were both the fittings you spoke of different. Mine are. The part the goes inside the pump is designed different but has the same threads

I don't understand what you mean by "were both the fittings you spoke of different." Where the line threads into the pump, each pump had a fitting that the line threaded into. I switched these fittings, using the fitting from the truck pump in the van pump. This allowed the truck hose to thread in as tight as it had in the truck pump.

I'm assuming that you're using parts from a 93 van in your 89? It's possible that the pump fittings are different between those years. My only experience was 94 to 94.

When i did mine i had to go to a hydraulic shop and they knew exactly what it was, all i know is they called it "that crazy ford fitting". They welded a special fitting on my old hose that was it.
